How to enroll a user in Duo MFA

Enrollment Welcome Letter

Users will receive an enrollment welcome letter from "no-reply@duosecurity.com." This enrollment welcome letter will have information on how to enroll the user into the multi-factor authentication platform.

Each link contained in the email is unique to the user account.

Upon clicking the link you will be directed to a page to begin enrollment.

Once you click "Start setup" you will be instructed to select which security method to use for multi-factor authentication. Multiple can be set up, but it is recommended to begin with the use of a cell phone.

On the next page, you will fill out your cell phone number.

You will then need to verify your phone number through a call or text message.

Once verified, you will need to fill out your device settings. Leaving the option default will allow you to choose your method upon login.

That finishes the enrollment process.

Once enrollment has been completed, your administrator can set up additional ways to authenticate. Such as Duo push, yubikey, or others.
